ABOUT US

I was a teacher and Robert was a farmer in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and we came down to Windsor with our 3 children in 1981 and bought Rainworth House as our family home. When the children left home, I decided to start doing B&B in 1995 and this year will be my 20th year of doing bed and breakfast.

“We Didn't Want to Leave!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2017

We stayed with Doreen, Robert, and Mr. Darcy at their beautiful guest house for six nights. I have never taken more pictures of a b&b and its surroundings as I did at Rainworth, both of the views from our Room 1 and in and around their lovely garden. The view from our room included deer passing through the garden, some ducks who had learned to tap on the kitchen door for a treat, and the fattest pigeon I had ever seen. Even the trees surrounding this beautiful home are magnificent. Inside, as others have commented, everything is spotless and of the highest quality. Doreen's and Robert's cooked-to-order breakfasts were wonderful, and the choice of cereals and fruits were excellent. The selection of a number of newspapers was also much appreciated

The drive into Windsor was easy and took 10 minutes or less. We headed directly to the King Edward VII parking area, which was an easy walk to the High Street and the castle, and thereby avoided coping with traffic on the busy High Street. Doreen put us on to a pub and a gastropub that were only minutes away, and Robert told us how to find a wonderful Indian restaurant that he and Doreen liked. Truly nothing was too much trouble for Doreen and Robert, and they could not have been more friendly, even to the extent of allowing us to overstay our last day long enough to allow Robert to print off our plane boarding passes for us, so that we wouldn't have to deal with that at the airport.

It was hard for us to leave Doreen and Robert's beautiful Rainworth, and we thank them very much for a wonderful stay.
